2015 - Wrapped Up

2015 was one of the most incredible years of my life. So much happened. I got married in November of 2014 and became an aunt for the second time the following March. During the summer I experienced a World War Two weekend for the first time which included reenactments, concerts, air show, and even spectators (including myself) in 1940s costume!
In the Fall we were saddened by the loss of a precious family member. In November my husband and I celebrated one year of marriage and, following along with tradition, we gave each other paper gifts. Christmas was just not the same this year, but we are thankful for the Savior who was born to give us eternal life. Now, a couple of weeks later, we are one week into January and I am curious about what blessings and trials are in store for this year.

I haven't been home much lately and I've tried to put off posting because I can only do it from the blogger app on my iPad, which is not my favorite thing to use, but I feel like the silence has been long enough and it's time for an update.

As for the crafting side of things, I have begun crocheting a temperature blanket. One row a day, everyday. There is a color for each 10 degree temperature range. It's going to be big, and I am really excited to see the color tones change as the year progresses.

I also have been knitting more since about the middle of last year and a couple of weeks ago I decided to make a pair of mittens, but not just a plain pair. The pattern I chose had lots of cables all over the back of the mittens. I finished them today! I'm very happy with how they turned out! Since the length was adjustable I was able to make them nice and long for my slightly larger than average hands and they are a perfect fit!

I hope your year has gotten off to a wonderful start with sweet memories of all that happened in 2015.

What have you been up to so far this year?
